Ko Lanta is home to a rich diversity of animal and plant life . The Lanta National Marine Park archipelago comprise s over 70 small islands, many of which are uninhabited. The National Park ensures these islands remain truly unspoiled. Many islands nearby have fabulous underwater reef ecosystems, which are home to a huge diversity of marine life and colourful coral formations. Many islands boast magnificent powder-white sandy beaches and are well worth a visit. No trip to Lanta is complete without sampling some of the breathtaking snorkelling that is available around the local islands and dive sites.

Many people come to Ko Lanta to experience some of the world’s best scuba diving. The Andaman Sea is home to the most diverse collection of sea-life in the world, providing superb diving and excellent underwater photography. The island also offers many other great activities and tours that are suitable for every member of the family , including snorkeling, hiking, caving, boat tours, fishing and kayaking or you can rent a Jeep or motorbike if you would like to explore the island by yourself.
