Christmas Tree Worms have magnificent twin spiral plumes used for feeding & respiration. They come in many colors including orange, yellow, blue, and white. They are very sensitive and will rapidly retract into their burrow at even a passing shadow. They re-emerge very slowly about a minute later, to test the water before fully extending their plumes.
