Free WIFI at Baan Laanta Resort

Baan Laanta are very pleased to announce the long awaited installation of free WIFI for their guests.

Guests staying at Baan Laanta Resort can now access free WIFI – just ask for the password at reception to surf-away to your heart’s content.

Enjoy surfing the internet wirelessly for free in the communal areas at Baan Laanta

For now, the WIFI can be accessed from Aqua Bar, Bay Front Restaurant, the Tour Office, Reception and a few of the Sea View Villas. There are plans to instal a booster system so that guests van access the WIFI from all the villas.

It is really lovely to be able to sit in the Bay Front Restaurant, gazing out to sea and watching the waves lapping on the beach, whilst being connected to the rest of the world via the web.

This is great news if you have a laptop, iPhone, iPad or similar, but if you don’t want to bring anything like that on holiday with you, Baan Laanta has PCs available free of charge too.

Our 15 luxury bungalows feature all the elegance of Thai tradition and culture and nestle within an acre of lush landscaped gardens. Each bungalow offers stunning views of the white crested waves of the Andaman Sea and, at night, you can gaze at the stars from your private balcony or as you take a stroll along the beach. All our bungalows are en-suite and embody the charm and elegance of classical Thai interiors; traditional handy-crafts, rich textiles and delicately carved wooden furnishings.

The bungalows are larger than average with a spacious and airy feel. There is plenty of room to unpack, spread your belongings around and make yourself at home for the duration of your stay. As tourism marches on, the Thai idyll is getting harder to find.

Step forward Kan Tiang, the last gasp on the Ko Lanta coast road as it dwindles away into Mu Ko Lanta National Park. There’s just one resort, Pimalai, a good dive shop that offers daily snorkelling jaunts and a collection of beach-shack bars, not so much built as washed up like flotsam on the tide. Our favourite for food is Same Same but Different, but the Aqua Bar’s seafood barbie is great, too.
